About Brisbane Dance Fitness

Brisbane Dance Fitness is a fun, supportive fitness community for adults who want to move their bodies, build confidence and enjoy exercise in a welcoming environment.

Our classes combine dance cardio and strength training with easy-to-follow movement, great music and a friendly atmosphere that helps you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in.

Whether you’re returning to exercise, looking for something more enjoyable than the gym, or trying dance fitness for the first time, you’re welcome on our dance floor.

Meet Fiona

Hi, I’m Fiona, the founder of Brisbane Dance Fitness.

I’ve been teaching dance fitness for over 12 years, and I created Brisbane Dance Fitness to give adults a fun, supportive way to move their bodies and enjoy exercise.

I’m also a tech startup founder, and I come from a long career in corporate IT, so I understand how busy life can get and how easy it is to put yourself last. As a mum of two, I know how important it is to have something that helps you switch off, recharge and do something positive for yourself.

That’s a big part of why Brisbane Dance Fitness means so much to me.

I wanted to create a space where women could come as they are, enjoy the music, move their bodies and leave feeling stronger, happier and more confident.

You don’t need to be a dancer.
You don’t need to be super fit.
And you definitely don’t need to get everything right.

My goal is to make classes feel welcoming, easy to follow and genuinely enjoyable — so exercise becomes something you can look forward to.

You do not need to be a great dancer or arrive already fit to enjoy Brisbane Dance Fitness. Everyone is welcome on our dance floor, and the class is designed so you can follow along at your own pace.

The goal isn’t to get every move perfect. The goal is to have fun, move your body and leave feeling good.

Most people feel nervous before their first class, but they quickly realise they don’t need to have it all figured out before they start.
